Only 15 minutes away from Bathala you can witness a fabulous Maldivian sunset while fishing.
Going out to sea in the evening, admiring a perfect sunset and patiently waiting for your next catch with the help of your guide who will teach you the basics of fishing with a simple line and sharp hook. Thirty-five minute Dhoni trip to reach a circular coral reef that encloses a stunning lagoon which is known in the local Dhivehi language as “faroes”. Together with a local guide or marine biologist you will discover the wide variety of marine creatures that live in the fascinating underwater world of Maldives. Enjoy swimming in the coral reef, experiencing a personal interaction with several marine fish species such as butterflyfishes, flag fishes, parrot fishes, morays and turtles, making it seem as you are actually inside an aquarium (the experience is at extra charge).

Snorkeling on the island’s coral reef during sunset is one of the must to do experiences in the Maldives. Guests will be escorted, with flashlights, by our snorkelling guide or marine biologist to enjoy how the different colors of the house reef vary compared to daytime. Experience snorkelling with a huge variety of multi-coloured fish and you’ll be amazed by the different reef formations that are home to Mantas , Eagle Rays, turtles and many other underwater creatures. Bathala’s reef offers one of the most spectacular marine environments of the Indian Ocean (the experience is at extra charge).

Only 15 minutes away by Dhoni is Bodu Ghiri, a spectacular coral reef, a perfect snorkelling excursion. This particular reef is populated by the bright colours of anemones, various kind of tropical fishes and great possibilities to encounter whitetip and blacktip reef sharks.
Right after snorkelling, you will have the chance to relax on an astonishing sand bank, surrounded by corals (the experience is at extra charge).

It is possible for our guests to privately rent a dhoni, the typical Maldivian boat. Guests will be taken around by our snorkeling guide or marine biologist and will discover amazing reefs, see tropical fishes and enjoy some relax on a beautiful sand bank (the experience is at extra charge).
